What it's for
The Memberships tab is a place to keep digital membership cards — gym, grocery, gas station, retail, or any other card you'd otherwise carry in a physical wallet — so they're always on your phone. These are separate from a business's Scroll loyalty program: a membership card is just something you store for reference, while loyalty points are tracked automatically by the business — see Rewards & Loyalty for that.
Adding a card
- Go to the Memberships tab and select Add card.
- Fill in the card's details:
- Business Name — who issued the card (required).
- Category — Gym/Fitness, Grocery, Gas Station, Retail, or Other, used to group your cards (required).
- Membership Number — shown as a scannable barcode on the card, the same way you'd present the physical one at checkout (required).
- Expiry Date (optional) — once this passes, the card is automatically marked Expired so you know at a glance it needs renewing.
- Benefits (optional) — add any number of short notes on what the membership gets you, each removable individually.
- Card Color (optional) — pick from a preset palette or any custom color, to make a card easy to spot at a glance among several.
- Notes (optional) — anything else worth remembering about it.
A live preview of the card updates as you fill in the form, so you can see exactly how it'll look before saving.
Managing a card
Open any card from the Memberships tab to view its full details, or to edit or remove it. Editing works the same as adding — update any field and save; removing a card deletes it from your wallet permanently, so re-add it later if you remove one by mistake.
Active vs. expired
Cards are labeled Active or Expired based on the expiration date you entered. An expired card isn't deleted or hidden — it stays in your list (useful if you need to reference an old membership number) until you edit it with a new date or remove it.
